Fury of the Female Yellowjackets is a sculptural installation, and a poem in three acts.

Inspired in part by the female yellowjacket, whose venomous stinger is also her sex organ, and in part by the role that incongruity plays within collective organising principles — such as those witnessed in the various configurations of the Gilets Jaunes (who, at the time of writing, were entering their 14th Act across France). Both iterations of the project reflect on the body as a site of collision, exploring what it means to hold multiple, often conflicting, possibilities simultaneously.

Fury of the Female Yellowjackets was included in the group show, Terminal O, at The Horse Hospital in London, 2019. An excerpt from Act III was published by A) GLIMPSE) OF) in the 2021 Symbiosis Issue, which can be read here.
